Racial Profiling Used To Help Capture Criminals...Are You SERIOUS?!

I recently read an article defending racial profiling to capture criminals. They say it's not about racism, it's more so about the fact that certain races are deprived economically and live in poverty and where you find poverty, you ultimately find crime. I say that's crap. It's true that people who live in poverty are more likely to commit a crime, but it's ridiculous to use race as a factor in trying to find criminals. There are people in poverty in every race, what kind of bull is that? Saying that okay these poor black, latino, or asian people may be criminals, but were going to ignore the white poor people because they don't usually commit crimes. I can see if you're going to use economi$c status as a factor, that'd be less offensive. I mean it's still BS to subject the less fortunate to such scrutiny, but that's able to be defended better than racial profiling.

Instead of viewing the poor and less fortunate as potential criminals, why don't we as a society try to help those who are less fortunate, therefore reducing the crime rate because we won't have as many people in the lower socioeconomic status. How can we as a people even defend using race as a basis to catch criminals. I could see that being possible if all the criminals in the world were a single race, but crime knows no race, creed, or sex. If you put ten people in a line there's a 1 in 10 chance you'll find a criminal. However, based on crime statistics, if you have a black male, you'll have a higher chance of finding a criminal.

They're building jails right now for 3rd grade african-american males. You think I'm joking? The government would rather spend money on a prison for 3rd grade african-american males, no more than 7-8 years old than to use that money for programs to help African-American males. I tell you what... find an old grandmother and give her that same money and I guarantee she'll use that money that was used to house a potential prisoner and produce a lawyer or a police officer.

Am I the only one outraged here? I have cousins in the 3rd grade, I'll be damned if I let you spend the money I pay every paycheck to taxes to build a prison for my cousins. Give me my money back!
