Money Can't Buy Happiness? I Beg To Differ

The age old saying is that money can't buy happiness. You know, material possessions and such cannot make a person happy. This is true... to some extent. I believe that if you're born with money, then money cannot buy you happiness because you're already able to have any and everything you want so material possessions no longer give you fufillment. People who have money already look for companionship and friendship because it's hard to find someone who likes you for you when you have money because you don't know if they like you... or what you have.

Now... on the flip side of that... if you're broke, and you get money, then money can buy you happiness. If you go from working a dead end job, to not having to work at all, from getting 2 vacations a year to vacationing all year, from living in the projects to living in a mansion, then I guesstimate that you'll be happier. If you can give your children and family all the things that you never had, then I wager you'd be happier. Not having enough money is the number one reason people go through what they go through. Women selling their bodies... i guarantee if you gave a hooker a million dollars, she'd be alot happier that she didn't have to sleep with someone different every night. I bet if a single mother working 3 jobs to take care of her 4 kids had a million dollars, she'd rest easier at night knowing that her children would be financially secure.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that everyone who does not have money is unhappy and everyone who has money is happy, but being financially secure is less stressful because you won't have to worry about where your next meal is coming from, if you'll have enough gas in your car to go to work, or if you'll have heat in the winter and a/c in the summer.

Just my random thoughts that I figured should be written down.
